ABOUT US
Founded in March, 2020, by Jessica Sarnoskie and Leslie Woncheck, The Mon Valley Twirling Corps has taken up where the late Carol Claybaugh's Mon Valley Super Stars baton corp had left off. Both Jessica and Leslie were former students of Mrs. Claybaugh's and share the desire to keep her methods of baton instruction for generations to come. Baton twirling is an art form as well as a sport.
A new season starts in the fall, at the beginning of the school year. The season continues year-round, culminating in the summer for parades and events.
Practice is held one night a week. If class can not be held, online versions are made available to current students.
We welcome students ranging in age from 5 to 18 who live in or near the Mon Valley area. Please either message or email us for any questions.
Lessons
Lessons are to be determined by the levels of abilities that our students have. Each new student will be placed in the class level that would best suit her.
